I know how much you love to hear me scream for my life. But today was different, I woke up tied in your living room. The curtains were open and I could actually see outside. It was broad daylight, and although I would have no way of knowing what day or time it was, I couldn’t believe you had left me in such a perfect spot to try to get rescued by anyone who could possibly be outside.
At first my mind told me it must be some sort of trick. I didn’t even know where you were, but I could swear I could feel you watching me. Then I saw it – a video camera with the record light blinking, focused right at me. You were watching and waiting to see what I would do. My heart was racing so fast and my head still tingling from whatever you used to put me to sleep. I tried to stretch my neck and pull on the chains to look out the window. There was a street and trees and a sidewalk. There just had to be people around!
I opened my mouth and tried to scream, and the sound that came out didn’t even sound like my voice. It was hoarse and scratchy and pain seared through my throat as the air escaped. I started coughing and blood spewed out all over my chest and legs. You had done something to my throat and it hurt like hell. I tried screaming again, and this time a sick gurgling pathetic whistling sound came out, along with more blood. I could taste it filling my mouth. The pain was incredible, as I realized you had cut my throat from the inside, rendering me unable to scream ever again. I sat staring out at the sunshine as a jogger went by, completely unaware that I was trapped inside with you forever.
